A very subtle world of enchantment grabbed hold of me entering into the Jasmine Blue Flower Shop tucked in between the pet and art store on the 13600 block of Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks – East of Woodman Avenue. The combined aroma of earth and a variety of flower petals intoxicated my olfactory senses. One could imagine this is what Heaven smells like. I was greeted by a warm and lovely woman, Dokhi Mirmani, the owner and operator for 20 years. She was scurrying about putting together a lovely colorful nosegay for a friend who was celebrating her birthday the next day. In fact, that particular friend happens to be the artist whose work is arranged on the walls throughout the flower shop. There was lovely music playing in the background and cozy arrangements of love seats and cushioned chairs from which to settle in. As I was placing my order, I found Dokhi and I enjoying delightful and philosophical discussions. To me, this is why I enjoy doing business with local merchants. It affords you the potential for a personal relationship as well as personable service.
Dokhi is quite an artistic talent. You can choose from a variety of exquisite arrangements as well creative gift baskets and cards. Service with Jasmine Blue is a special experience. One you may wish to try sooner than later!
